Venue spotlight: Foto8
Tucked away on a side road just off Old Street is one of the coolest galleries in London: Foto8. Having been recently refurbished, Foto8 prides itself on ‘showing the very best new documentary and photojournalism projects through its vibrant program of exhibitions, talks, film screenings and seminars’.
Foto8 is a really beautiful space, full of natural light and perfect for the exhibitions it hosts.
Sanj, one of our events gurus headed down there recently to watch a screening of ‘If A Tree Falls’:
"It’s cosy little venue tucked away on Honduras St. It’s across two floors and the screening room is located in the basement. Foto8 holds regular screenings of non-mainstream films and documentaries, along with exhibitions.
I attended the screening of ‘If a Tree Falls’, a documentary about the rise and fall of the Earth Liberation Front, a fascinating film which examines the motivations behind the founding members of the ELF and how they were eventually caught by the FBI.”
